Using the walk

Do both of us need to download the Routon app?
No. One phone between you is enough. One person downloads Routon, signs in, and the walk is there. You navigate together on that one screen. No need for your partner to download anything.
Do we have to answer every question?
Not at all. If a question doesn’t feel right, skip it. Walk away. Maybe talk about why you didn’t like it — that can be just as interesting. The questions are there to help, not to force anything. Use them as freely as you want.
Do we have to visit every GPS stop?
No. There’s no minimum. Visit as many or as few as you like within your 3-hour window. When you’re done, head to the end coordinate — arriving there closes the walk. You could answer 5 questions or 55. It’s entirely up to you.
Can we see all the stops on the map before we visit them?
Yes. All GPS stops are visible on the map from the start — you can see every pinpoint and how many are left. The stops have numbers, but those are just for our administration. What matters is that you can always see the full picture of where you are and where you could go next.
Do we have to stay together the whole time?
You should — Along works best when you’re side by side. But if you want to wander separately for a bit and meet at the next stop, that’s your call. The walk is yours to use however you want.
Can we do Along with more than two people?
Yes. One purchase, one phone, but as many people as you want walking together. Great for a group of friends, a family, or a small team. The questions still work — they just get answered by everyone.
What if we want to talk about a question for longer than the walk allows?
Do it. Sit down, stay for an hour, write the question down and talk about it over dinner. The whole point is connection — the walk is just the structure. If a question opens something worth exploring, explore it. Come back to the stops when you’re ready.

When does the 3-hour window start?
The moment you press start at the start coordinate — not when you purchase. You can buy the walk today and start it whenever you’re ready. The timer only begins when you choose to begin.
Can we pause the walk and come back to it?
No. There’s no pause in the system. Once you start, the 3-hour window runs continuously. You can slow down, grab a coffee, sit at a stop as long as you want — but the clock keeps going. Most couples finish in 60–90 minutes, so there’s usually time to spare.
What if we run out of time before visiting all the stops?
The walk closes when the 3-hour window ends — or when you reach the end coordinate, whichever comes first. You don’t need to visit every stop. If time runs out, the experience ends where you are. You’d need to purchase again to do the walk from scratch.
Can we restart the walk another day if we didn't finish?
No. The walk is single-use. Once you start the 3-hour window, that’s your experience. If you want to walk again, you’ll need to purchase a new one. Think of it like a concert ticket — once the show starts, it starts.
App & GPS

How do we know where the start and end coordinates are?
You’ll receive both the start and end coordinates by email after purchase, including a street address you can navigate to. In the Routon app, the start and end points appear as different coloured pins on the map so they’re always easy to identify at a glance.
What happens when we arrive at a GPS stop?
When you step within 25 metres of a stop, your phone sends a push notification. Open it and the question is there in the Routon app. You don’t need the screen on or the app open — the notification does the work. Also triggers on Apple Watch.
Does Routon work without internet?
Yes, fully. Load the walk on Wi-Fi before you leave. From that point, Routon runs completely offline — GPS works independently from internet. No mobile data, no roaming, no signal required. GPS works everywhere in the world.
What if the GPS doesn't work in part of the city?
It will. GPS is independent from mobile signal or internet. The system works everywhere — the coordinates are loaded onto your device before you start. There’s no part of Budapest (or any other city we operate in) where GPS won’t function.
Which devices does Along work on?
Routon is available on iPhone (iOS) and Android. It also sends notifications to Apple Watch. You only need one device — whichever one you have is fine.

Can we buy Along as a gift for someone else?
Yes — that’s what Give Along is for. The recipient gets access to their walk digitally, instantly. They redeem it whenever they’re ready. Perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine’s Day, or just because.
Can we get a refund if we buy but don't use it?
Unfortunately no. Along is a digital product, and under digital product laws we can’t offer refunds once the purchase is complete. The good news: your walk never expires. You can sit on it for months and use it whenever the moment is right.
If we want to do the same walk again, do we need to buy it again?
Yes. Each purchase is single-use. If you want to walk again — or try a different question set — you’ll need a new purchase. Many couples come back for Bond or Deep after starting with Light.
Do group rates or discounts exist?
Not yet. If you’re interested in a group booking or a custom experience for a special occasion, reach out directly on Instagram DM, WhatsApp, or email and we’ll work something out.

Are the questions the same for everyone, or do they change?
The same question set is used for everyone on a given walk and level — Light, Bond, or Deep. We release new question packs periodically, so returning couples can get a fresh experience without buying a brand new walk.
Are Light, Bond, and Deep completely different questions?
Yes. Each level is its own set, written specifically for that stage of a relationship. Light is warm and open, designed for new connections. Bond digs deeper into what you know about each other. Deep goes to the questions that long-term couples rarely make time for.
What languages are the questions available in?
Hungarian and English at launch. German and Russian are coming in 2026. When you purchase, choose your language and you’ll get the full question set in that language.
Are there any topics the questions avoid?
Yes. No questions about money, politics, or children — across any level. Along is designed to deepen connection, not create conflict. Every question is reviewed for that purpose.
