Buy your walk
Click the buy button and you'll be taken to the Routon website. Create a free account, choose your walk and question set, and complete your purchase.
Your walk has no expiry date. Buy today, walk in three months — whenever you're ready. The clock doesn't start on purchase.

Download Routon — it's free
Download the Routon app on iOS or Android. Sign in with the same account you created during purchase. Your walk appears immediately under My Events.
Load your walk on Wi‑Fi before you leave. Routon runs fully offline from that point — no mobile data, no roaming, no signal required.

Head to the start coordinate
Every Along walk has a fixed start point. When you arrive there, press start in the Routon app. This is the moment your 3-hour window begins — not when you purchased.
The walk is single-use. One purchase, one experience. Two people walking separately each need their own purchase.

Hunt the GPS stops — in any order
A cloud of GPS stops scatters across the city. No fixed route, no order, no obligation to visit all of them. Walk towards a stop, step within 25 metres, and your phone sends a push notification. Open it — the question is there.
Also triggers on Apple Watch. You don't need the screen on. GPS works completely offline — the coordinates are loaded, no internet needed.

Answer. Take your time. Keep going.
Read the question together. Stay as long as you want — there's no timer on the answer. Grab a coffee between stops. Sit by the river. The 3-hour window gives you all the space you need.
Questions unlock once and can't be revisited — the walk moves forward, just like a real conversation. Most couples finish in 60–90 minutes.

Head to the end coordinate when you're ready
When you've answered enough, you're tired, or you simply feel done — walk to the end coordinate. Arriving there shuts down the whole experience. The walk is complete.
You don't have to visit every stop. There's no minimum. Whether you answered 5 questions or 50, heading to the end coordinate is how Along ends. Every walk has a different end point.
Your walk. Your pace. Your stops.
Start at the start coordinate. End at the end coordinate. Everything in between is completely yours — visit as many or as few stops as you want, in any order, at any speed. No minimum. No pressure.

When you’re ready — tired, full, happy, or done — walk to the end coordinate. Arriving there shuts the walk down.

Do we have to visit every GPS stop?
No. There’s no minimum. Visit as many as you like within your 3-hour window. When you’re done — whether that’s after 5 stops or 55 — head to the end coordinate. Arriving there closes the walk.
Where do we start and where do we finish?
Every Along walk has a fixed start coordinate and a fixed end coordinate. You must begin at the start point — this is where the walk activates and your 3-hour window begins. From there, everything is free. When you’re ready to finish, walk to the end coordinate. The walk closes the moment you arrive.
Do both of us need the app?
No. One phone is enough. One person navigates to each GPS stop and the question appears on screen. You answer it together.
What happens when we reach a GPS stop?
When you step within 25 metres of a stop, Routon sends a push notification to your phone — and your Apple Watch if you have one. Open the notification and the question appears in the app. You don’t need the screen on or the app open.
When does the 3-hour window start?
The moment you press start at the start coordinate — not when you purchased. You can buy the walk today and start it months later. The timer only begins when you choose to begin.
Can we take breaks during the walk?
Yes — grab a coffee, sit by the water, stay at a question as long as you want. The 3-hour window runs continuously from when you start, but you can move as slowly as you need within it.
Can we go back to a previous question?
No. Questions unlock once at each stop and can’t be revisited. The walk moves forward — just like a real conversation.
Does it work without internet?
Yes, fully. Load the walk on Wi-Fi before you leave. Routon runs completely offline after that — GPS works independently from internet. No data, no roaming, no problem.
What if we want to finish early?
Just head to the end coordinate whenever you’re ready. You don’t have to earn it by visiting a certain number of stops. Arriving at the end point is how the walk closes — full stop.
What if something goes wrong?
