Margaret Island sits in the middle of the Danube, two kilometres long and cut off from the city entirely. No houses. No cars. Just trees, fields, ruins, and river on both sides.
Sixty GPS stops scatter across the island — from the Dominican ruins to the musical fountain to the quiet northern bank where the Danube is close enough to touch. You enter at one of two fixed points and find your own way through the rest.
It’s the Along walk that feels furthest from ordinary life. Because it is.
